The VIOX VKL11B Type B and Type B+ residual current circuit breakers detect alternating, pulsating DC and smooth DC residual currents. Type B covers frequencies up to 1 kHz, while Type B+ extends detection up to 20 kHz. Available in 16-100 A ratings and 2P or 4P configurations, the range supports installations using frequency converters, photovoltaic systems, UPS equipment and EV charging equipment.

Overview

The VKL11B Type B and VKL11B+ Type B+ residual current circuit breakers provide residual-current protection in AC 50/60 Hz installations that may generate alternating, pulsating DC or smooth DC residual currents. Type B detects frequencies up to 1 kHz, while Type B+ extends detection up to 20 kHz. The range includes 16 A to 100 A ratings, 2P and 4P configurations, and instantaneous, K short-time-delayed or T selective versions. It is intended for installations using frequency converters, photovoltaic systems, UPS systems and other electronically controlled equipment. Suitable overload and short-circuit protection must be provided separately.
