Industrial Automation & Control Components

Organize sensing, timing, switching, protection and panel-control components around the operating sequence of industrial machinery.

Automated manufacturing facility with industrial robotic systems
Industrial machine-control application

From process signal to machine action.

Industrial control components perform different jobs in one operating sequence. The system designer defines the controller logic; surrounding devices sense conditions, manage timing, switch loads and protect the circuit.

  1. SenseProximity and process input
  2. DecidePLC or system control logic
  3. Time & monitorTimer and control relay functions
  4. SwitchContactor-operated load control
  5. ActMotor, pump, fan or machine load

Conceptual control sequence, not a wiring diagram. Device ratings, interlocking, protective coordination and controller logic must be defined for the actual machine.

Match components to the control task.

Start from what the machine must detect and operate. Then confirm the electrical ratings, control method, duty and environment for every selected device.

Motors, pumps & fans
Define motor data, starting method, switching duty and the required overload and short-circuit protection.
Conveyors & packaging sequences
Map sensing points, sequence timing, interlocks and the loads operated at each stage.
HVAC & compressor control
Confirm contactor duty, control voltage, restart behavior and equipment-manufacturer requirements.
Position, level & presence sensing
Confirm target material, sensing distance, supply, output type and the controller input interface.
Timed machine functions
Specify the operating mode, trigger method, time range, reset behavior and output contact duty.
Control-cabinet conditions
Define the temperature range, heating or cooling function, enclosure conditions and controlled equipment.

Prepare the control-panel specification.

Send confirmed information where available. Mark unknown values for engineering review instead of selecting a component from the application name alone.

Electrical supply
Power voltage, frequency, phases and available fault level.
Control circuit
Control voltage, signal type and controller interface.
Load & duty
Load type, rated current or motor power, duty cycle and switching frequency.
Operating sequence
Inputs, outputs, timing, reset behavior and interlocking requirements.
Sensing
Target, sensing distance, environment and required sensor output.
Panel & order
DIN-rail space, temperature, quantity, destination market and required documents.
