63 amp 2 pole or 4 pole RCCB?
2P: single-phase circuits
A 2-pole RCCB typically switches the phase and neutral together. Confirm the circuit voltage and the device’s test-circuit requirements. VKL11 and EV catalogs list 240V AC; F and B catalogs list 230/240V AC.
4P: three-phase and neutral
A 4-pole RCCB typically serves three phases plus neutral. The published ratings are 415V AC for VKL11/EV and 400/415V AC for F/B. A circuit without neutral needs model-specific wiring and test-circuit verification.

- 30mA
- Commonly used for additional electric-shock protection where required. It does not replace earthing, basic protection or correct circuit design.
- 100mA
- May be specified for fault protection with a coordinated earthing system and disconnection design. Not a substitute for required 30mA additional protection.
- 300mA
- May be used for insulation-fault fire-risk reduction or upstream protection where the installation design permits. Selectivity also requires time coordination, not just a higher mA rating.
Match the waveform. Then check coordination.
Type AC covers sinusoidal AC residual currents. Type A adds pulsating DC. Type F addresses specified mixed-frequency residual currents; Type B adds smooth-DC detection. These are not interchangeable labels for “better quality.”
For EV charging, verify the equipment’s required AC residual protection and DC detection arrangement. An A-EV or F-EV variant must not simply be described as Type B.

- Load current, ambient conditions and any required derating against the 63A rating.
- The upstream MCB or fuse, its rating and the manufacturer’s coordination conditions.
- Prospective short-circuit current against the RCCB’s conditional ratings with the specified protective device.
- Residual making/breaking capacity IΔm separately from conditional short-circuit ratings Inc / IΔc.
- Earthing, disconnection times and selectivity with other RCDs.
IEC 61008-1 covers RCCBs without integral overcurrent protection. A conditional 6kA or 10kA catalog rating does not mean the RCCB independently clears that fault like an MCB.

A useful price comparison starts with poles, type, sensitivity and required documentation. A 63A 2P Type A device and a 63A 4P Type B device are different purchasing requirements.
Ask for a quote that identifies the exact series and configuration, quantity, packaging, sample requirements and delivery terms. This page does not publish an unverified fixed price.

Separate local branded retail prices from an OEM or wholesale supply quotation. Specify your delivery destination, currency, freight and tax basis, and the conformity documents your project or import process requires.
Do not assume a listed IEC standard alone establishes Indian market acceptance. Confirm the exact order’s documentation before purchase; local inventory, landed cost and delivery timing must be quoted, not inferred.
