Qu'est-ce qu'un disjoncteur miniature (MCB) CC ?
A DC miniature circuit breaker is designed to interrupt overload and short-circuit current in a direct-current circuit within its published voltage, pole, polarity and breaking characteristics.
DC arcs do not pass through a natural current zero in the same way as AC arcs. The breaker construction and required series-pole arrangement must therefore be selected from explicit DC ratings rather than inferred from an AC device.
DC MCB Series Overview
Three published VIOX series for compact and higher-current DC protection. Open each product page for exact voltage, pole and interruption data.
How to choose a DC MCB
Start with maximum system voltage and fault conditions, then verify poles, polarity and circuit coordination.
Maximum DC voltage
Confirm the worst-case circuit voltage and the required pole arrangement from the exact datasheet.
Current and breaking capacity
Coordinate rated current with conductor capacity and verify prospective DC fault current.
Poles and polarity
Follow the approved wiring diagram, including any series-pole or polarity requirements.
Application coordination
Check source behavior, upstream and downstream protection, isolation and environmental conditions.
Treat DC interruption as a system decision
A matching current number is not enough; voltage, pole arrangement, polarity and available fault current determine suitability.

DC MCB Selection Questions
Réponses rapides pour une comparaison préliminaire des gammes de produits avant la vérification détaillée des circuits.
Can an AC MCB be used in a DC circuit?
Only if the manufacturer explicitly publishes the required DC voltage, pole and wiring configuration for that exact device. Do not infer DC suitability from an AC rating.
Why can multiple poles be connected in series?
Approved series-pole arrangements can divide the DC voltage and support arc interruption, but only the wiring shown for the exact model may be used.
La polarité est-elle importante ?
Some DC breakers are polarity-sensitive and others publish polarity-independent arrangements. Follow the selected model markings and diagram.
How is rated current selected?
Coordinate continuous load, conductor capacity, ambient conditions and protective characteristics, then verify the exact datasheet.
Which details are needed for selection?
Provide maximum DC voltage, load current, source and battery or PV details, available fault current, poles, wiring arrangement, quantity and target market.
