Arc-fault detection testing
Request the applicable arc-fault test report and confirm its model, configuration and test conditions. A test-button demonstration is not a substitute for arc-fault type testing.

Operation and indications
Confirm the specified test procedure, operating mechanism and any indication or reset behavior against the model instructions and sample review criteria.

Arc-fault function
Request IEC/EN 62606 test reports for the selected model and version. Confirm the report scope and destination-market document requirements before purchase approval.
Integrated RCBO functions
Review the applicable IEC/EN 61009-1 documents for the combined residual-current and overcurrent functions. Verify voltage, current, curve, sensitivity and short-circuit rating.
VAF1-40 vs VAF3-40M
Keep the two model designations separate in samples, artwork, catalogs and orders. Do not assume that a report for one version automatically covers the other.
Instructions and labeling
Confirm the installation instructions, language, rating marks and packaging references required by the target market. An AFDD does not replace correct wiring or installation inspection.
