The VIOX LW26 rotary cam switch provides manual switching for control panels, industrial machinery, electrical distribution equipment, and measurement circuits. The range covers conventional thermal currents from 10A to 315A and operating voltages up to 440V AC or 240V DC. Maintained, spring-return, and combined operating mechanisms are available with application-specific positions, switching angles, contact sections, and handle markings.

Operating Mode and Selection
Select the current frame together with the required positions, switching angle, contact program, and load category. The Ith marking alone is not sufficient for motor or inductive-load selection.
Maintained Operation
The handle remains in the selected position until it is turned again. This arrangement is used for source, instrument, speed, and other stable selection commands.
Spring-Return Operation
The handle returns automatically when released. It is suitable for momentary commands such as start, jog, or reset.
Combined Operation
Maintained and spring-return positions can be combined where one switching program requires both stable and momentary commands.
Positioning-type switches may use 1–12 contact sections; the supplied reference limits frames rated 63A and above to eight sections. Spring-return configurations normally use 1–3 sections, while the LW26-20 reference allows up to eight. Direct motor-control arrangements commonly use 1–6 sections.
