Control Functions Overview

The FCL18-02 offers multiple operational modes to adapt to various liquid level control requirements:

VIOX FCL18-01_02 Liquid Level Control Relay control function principles

Function A (2-level control, Fill liquid)

Provides dual-level monitoring for filling applications. The relay activates when liquid level falls below the minimum threshold and deactivates once it reaches the maximum level, ensuring precise fill control.

Function B (1-level control, Fill liquid)

Single-level monitoring for filling operations. The relay operates based on a single sensor point with adjustable time delay (Tt) for smooth operation.

Function C (1-level control, Fill liquid)

Alternative single-level fill monitoring with different timing characteristics, offering flexibility for various process requirements.

Function D (1-level control, Empty liquid)

Single-level monitoring optimized for emptying operations. The relay activates when liquid exceeds the minimum threshold and deactivates when it falls below, with adjustable time delay (Tt).

Function E (1-level control, Empty liquid)

Alternative single-level emptying control with different timing characteristics for specialized applications.

Function F (2-level control, Empty liquid)

Dual-level monitoring for emptying applications. The relay activates when liquid level exceeds the maximum threshold and deactivates once it falls below the minimum level, ensuring precise empty control.

Installation Guidelines

For optimal performance and reliability, follow these installation recommendations:

Mounting: Install the relay on a standard 35mm DIN rail in a control panel or enclosure
Environmental considerations: Place in locations with ambient temperatures between -20°C and +60°C for optimal performance
Electrical connections: Use AWG13-20 wire size with proper stripping length of 7mm
Probe positioning: Install probes at desired monitoring levels, ensuring proper submersion in the liquid to be monitored
Voltage selection: Ensure proper supply voltage (from 12 to 240 VAC/DC) is connected to terminals A1-A2
Function selection: Choose the appropriate function (A-F) based on your specific application requirements
