How These Events Were Selected
We compared events using four practical criteria rather than prestige:
- Regional access: whether the show creates a realistic route to buyers, distributors, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, or suppliers in a target market.
- PV component relevance: whether the official event scope includes photovoltaics and gives BOS buyers a reasonable chance of finding DC protection and enclosure suppliers.
- Sourcing usefulness: whether the event can support supplier discovery, technical comparison, channel development, or project-market research.
- Verifiable information: whether current dates and scope were available from the organizer.
“Worldwide” describes the geographic reach of this shortlist, not a complete calendar of every solar event. Do not choose an event solely from its size. RE+ — North American project and channel access
RE+ covers solar, energy storage, hydrogen, electric vehicles, microgrids, wind, and related grid technologies. According to the organizer’s event FAQ, RE+ 2025 hosted 37,000 attendees and 1,350 exhibitors.
The event is relevant when your commercial target is the United States or wider North American market. At the booth, ask for evidence tied to the offered model and intended installation—not a generic claim that a product is “UL ready” or “for the US market.” Applicable certification, listing, conductor, enclosure, labeling, and code requirements must be resolved for the actual project.
Intersolar Middle East — MENA solar and power procurement
Intersolar Middle East is co-located with Middle East Energy in Dubai, connecting solar and energy-storage discussions with the wider regional power sector. This makes it useful for buyers and suppliers working on utility, commercial, industrial, and distribution opportunities across the Middle East and North Africa.
The MENA label should not be treated as one technical specification. Ambient conditions, dust exposure, corrosion risk, voltage architecture, utility requirements, project documentation, and local approvals can differ significantly. Use the show to identify local requirements and partners, then validate each destination market separately.
Intersolar South America — Latin American market entry
Intersolar South America in São Paulo provides access to the Brazilian solar market and wider Latin American contacts. The organizer expects more than 600 exhibitors and more than 55,000 visitors across the co-located The smarter E South America platform for the 2027 edition.
For BOS sourcing, prepare Portuguese-language product summaries where practical and distinguish regional market interest from approval in a specific country. Ask distributors and EPCs which string configurations, system voltages, enclosure practices, and documentation formats they actually purchase.
Renewable Energy India Expo — Indian buyers and suppliers
Renewable Energy India Expo in Greater Noida brings together renewable-energy manufacturers, developers, integrators, and buyers. Its official exhibitor directory makes it possible to screen likely PV and electrical suppliers before arrival.
Use the directory to separate module- and inverter-focused companies from those relevant to DC BOS, protection, enclosures, and assembled combiner boxes. Solar & Storage Live Africa — solar-plus-storage project channels
Solar & Storage Live Africa in Johannesburg covers residential, commercial and industrial, utility-scale solar, and energy storage. The organizer reports more than 20,000 attendees and more than 650 sponsors and exhibitors for its 2027 event.
This mix makes the show useful for understanding how combiner boxes and DC protection fit different project sizes and storage architectures. Additional South China Option: Solar PV & Energy Storage World Expo
Buyers who want a second China sourcing route can evaluate the Solar PV & Energy Storage World Expo in Guangzhou. The organizer lists the 2026 edition for September 16–18 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex and reports more than 2,000 exhibitors across 180,000 square metres.

Before the meeting, prepare a one-page requirement sheet. Include the intended system voltage, string count, module short-circuit current data, environmental conditions, outgoing circuit, monitoring needs, cable-entry direction, target market, and required documentation. How to Distinguish a Manufacturer from a Trader
There is nothing inherently wrong with working through a trading company or distributor when it adds engineering, logistics, financing, local stock, or after-sales value. The problem is an undisclosed role that prevents the buyer from knowing who controls product design and production.

- What is the legal name and address of the assembly factory?

- Who owns the drawings, model codes, certificates, and test reports?
