Price per weight

Convert the unit, keeping the same currency.

Enter a reference price to begin.

Silver is commonly quoted per troy ounce, not a standard ounce. Results are rounded to six decimal places.

Price change

Compare the same material, currency and unit.

Use matching grades, market regions and tax terms. Different pricing bases cannot be compared directly.

Enter both prices to begin.

Percentage change = (new − previous) ÷ previous × 100. The previous price must be greater than zero.

From raw material
to finished component.

Material movements give useful context. They do not determine the price of every product in the same way.

A 10% material increase is not a 10% product increase.

The effect depends on the material’s share of the product cost, purchasing terms and the specific configuration.

MCB & contactor purchasing

Compare a confirmed model and configuration—not a generic material basket. Pole count, ratings, contact specification and component design can change the quotation.

No MCB or contactor cost index is published here.

Copper: more than metal weight

Grade, dimensions, machining and surface treatment distinguish a finished conductive part from a raw copper reference. Confirm the drawing and specification before comparing quotations.

Silver: the contact specification matters

For components using silver-bearing contacts, cost depends on the contact composition, amount of material and manufacturing process. Pure silver prices are not finished contact prices.

PA66: compare like-for-like grades

Unfilled, flame-retardant and glass-fibre-reinforced compounds are not interchangeable price references. Confirm the actual product material and grade before using a resin benchmark.

Keep the basis consistent

Copper is reported in USD per metric tonne; silver in USD per troy ounce. These are monthly benchmark averages, not tax-inclusive local purchase quotes. VIOX calculates month-on-month and year-on-year changes from the same source series. Chart lines connect monthly observations; they do not represent daily prices.

Dates stay honest

Updates follow the monthly source release and manual review. The data month, source release date and VIOX import date are separate. Later source revisions may change historical values. PA66 and other plastics are discussed for context only; no plastic price is inferred from metal or energy prices.

Questions before you compare

Are these VIOX product prices?

No. These are material references. A VIOX product quotation depends on the model, specification, quantity, packaging and delivery requirements.

Why might my supplier quote a different price?

The grade, location, tax treatment, processing, quantity and payment terms may differ. Compare those conditions before comparing the headline price.

Will the page show daily price movements?

No. The World Bank series used here contains monthly averages. The displayed changes compare consecutive months or the same month a year earlier, not daily or rolling 30-day prices.

Which nylon price should I use?

Use a reference matching the actual resin grade and additives specified for your part. A general PA66 price is not a substitute for a confirmed compound quotation.

Need a price for your product?

Send the model, quantity and technical requirements.
